Summary:

Historian Kelvin Crombie explores the battlefields of North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean to examine the unheralded role played by Gentiles from Britain, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and other parts of the British Empire in the formation of the modern State of Israel. Rare archive footage and on location visits to historic sites in Israel and Egypt reveal a fascinating insight into the years from 1798 up to 1948 when Israel again became a nation.
